And so starts another fun filled work week. Weather was great. And
I was indoors. Went out of a quick walk around the block in the
afternoon to stretch out my back.

Busy day. We set up the pen in the shop for the chicks that a just
starting to hatch. This involved clearing all the stuff stored
on that side and setting up the pen. After that I went through
and did a fairly significant cleanup of the shelf where we keep
all the nails and screws and stuff to do a little inventory, so
I could figure out what we are short on and get it next time I'm
in Home Depot. Whee! Good times!
Had lunch, and a nap.
Then I went for a short run, which went well. My back didn't hurt,
so it looks like I can do that for exercise until my back is all
better and I can ride again. I've been feeling like crap after no
exercise for over 3 weeks, so I had to find something to do. I
suspect the lack of exercise is part of the reason it is not
getting better anyway.
Then a miracle happened. Dawn was in the bathroom putting up a
little rack my mom bought her for hanging necklaces on. While she
was in there with the screwdrivers and wall anchors, I finally
decided I have had enough, and fixed two things that have been
pissing me off since we moved in 6.5 years ago. The mirror had
never been hung properly. Honestly, who doesn't know how to hang
a bathroom mirror??? So I re-hung it properly. I had fixed the
one in the other bathroom when we moved in because I repainted
that room. Then I moved the towel rack which was installed so that
when there was a towel in it, it would interfere with opening and
closing the drawer. I had been just leaving them because we intend
on remodeling the bathroom (and have had that intention since we
moved in), but we're still not there yet and I'd just had enough!

The weather today has been a bit of a gong show. There was a trace
of snow when I got up at 6:30. By 7:30 there was about an inch
and a half. The malahat webcam showed heavy traffic, and I just
didn't feel like bothering, so I just stayed home. Later in the
day, it was blinding sun and pissing rain (together), then just
sun and high winds. Crazyness!

Awesome day. Stopped for gas on the way home. During the day they
had jacked up the price 9 cents a litre (40 cents a gallon). Then
when I got home, I stepped out of the car to open the front gate,
into a pile of dog shit. I have hundreds of yards of ditches,
and somebody has thier dog shit right in front of my gate.
I'm trying to be more positive this week. Is it showing?

Weird weather day today. It was -2C and sunny when I left the
house. At lunch, it was +7C and snowing. I heard there was even
a bit of hail. Crazy after all the nice spring-like days we've had.
