Had a lazy day. Just didn't feel like doing anything. So I
didn't. Read a bit. Sat in the hottub. Played with the computer a
bit. Played with my Wii. Watched a movie. Whew. It was tiring. I
think I'll go to bed early.

I am on vacation now. Yay! Of course, in true long weekend style, it
was a pain getting home tonight. Left the office at 5:30, and where
there is usually a backup, there was almost no traffic. So I got my
hopes up that everybody had left early or taken the day off. Then
I hit the traffic at the second place things can back up. It was
just crawling. Ugh. Took me an extra half hour to get home. But
now I've had a beer I feel much better. I think I'll have another.

It's been a crazy week at work. I had a couple guys off for
the first three days, leaving me to to all the work on several
projects. I haven't been working too much overtime, but it's worn
me out from shifting gears all the time. One came back today,
the other is back on Monday (and I'm off for 10 days starting
Friday). So recovery starts in less than 24 hours. Can't wait. Need
to stock up on beer :-)

Worked for an hour on my day off, finished power washing my
parent's driveway, got some groceries. Missed costco though because
I forgot my card. Mowed the lawn. Caught up on email and news. Now
it's hammock time!

So going to bed early didn't work out so well last night. Went
to bed around 10. Work phone went off at 12:30. Worked for 20
min. back to bed but could not get to sleep until 2:30 or so. 6:30
the phone rang for work again. Worked for half an hour. Ate
breakfast. Rang again at 7:30. Ugh. Groggy all day. It's 10 now
and I'm going to bed. Hope the phone doesn't ringt tonight.

Wore myself out today. Went on a bit of a pruning binge. Started
out with just one bush that was covering a sprinkler head. Then,
as it always does, the green fog descended and it was a
prune-a-thon. Several wheelbarrow loads of clippings later, I
moved on to the ditches with the trimmer, turning grass, daisies,
broom, and dandelions into a fine green paste that was plastered
all over my clothes, arms, face and hair. Mmmmm. I'm worn out. I
need a vacation to recover from the weekends.
